Lake Bunyonyi offers 19 spectacular islands and calm waters with no crocodiles or hippos and waterbone diseases. Gentle activities can be arranged such as canoeing, boat ride, and island walks and swimming.

After breakfast, you will gather at Kanyanchu park headquarters for briefing on the trekking procedures.

Nature walk in Bigodi wetland is worth doing in the afternoon after chimp trek and a short break at the lodge. At least 8 of the 13 primates have been recorded in this wetland. With open vegetation, you may spot them very well than you would in the dense Kibale forest. Birding can also be excellent in the swamp with over 200 species including Great blue turaco.
The walk also includes exploring the role of the community in protecting the wetland. People obtain raw materials like reeds which they use to make handicrafts such as mats, baskets, and the weaving industry is flourishing in Bigodi trading center. You can support them by giving a donation or purchasing souvenirs to take with you back to the lodge.
